Nestled in the afternoon shadow of the Shawangunk Mountains in southern Ulster County, the Widmark Honey Farm was known for honey bees and black bears. Honey was produced on our farm for more than one hundred years. A staple landmark of the small town of Gardiner, the farm was a destination of people of all ages for close to half a century. Millions of Americans watched the famous Widmark Honey Farm bears, bees, and honey-making operation on television. It was not uncommon to see writers, reporters, and photographers here at our family farm. At the end of 2006, the Farm shut its gate for the final time. Unfortunately, it was no longer feasible to keep the farm grounds open. As our family changed so did our business. We hope to continue serving you for years to come in this new way.
