My name is Monroe Enzor and Id like to tell you a little bit about our 6th generation family farm. My family has been harvesting sweetpotatoes and melons here in Columbus County, North Carolina, ever since my great-great-great-grandfather, Henry Enzor, planted his fields in 1850. Next came James Monroe Enzor, my great-great-grandfather; then James Perry Enzor, my great-grandfather; Monroe Enzor Sr., my grandfather; Monroe Enzor Jr., my father, and now my brother, Perry, my son, David, and me, Monroe Enzor III. Sweetpotatoes have thrived in the rich loamy soil here ever since the 1600s, were told. Our mild climate, warmed by ocean breezes, has made our southeastern corner of the state a natural place to grow sweetpotatoes. Over the years, weve made a lot of changes in how we farm, adding some new ways to the best of the old ways -- making for a sweet combination! What hasnt changed is our commitment to continue to give your family, friends, relatives, and customers the best and freshest farm produce around. We call our sweetpotatoes natures health food because theyre so good for you. You can order them in any quantity you want. Well even help your organization raise money with our risk-free sweetpotato and melon fund-raising programs! Our name goes on every box of sweetpotatoes we pack, and we pack every box by hand, selecting and hand-brushing only the finest sweetpotatoes for you. Best of all, were still family-owned and family-operated just like weve always been. Once you discover the fresh, healthy taste of our sweetpotatoes, we know youll want to order more! We enjoy fixing and eating them all year-round and you will, too.
