Grata Incorporated, founded in 2002, is a private corporation based in Indiana, PA. Our Paraclete low carbohydrate breads and cereals are our passion. We have been developing our recipes since 2001 and will not stop until we have made available a low carbohydrate substitute for every common breads and cereal product on the market! Ive been on a low carb diet since 1999. By the end of 2000, I was dying for a ham sandwich or something crunchy besides pork rinds. I decided to see if my kitchen skills could be combined with my research experience to make my own low carb bread products. It worked! Enjoy! The benefits of following a low carbohydrate eating life style are being enjoyed by a growing number of people. Support in the medical community has been growing for a number of years in favor of low carbohydrate diets over low fat diets for combating symptoms such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obesity, and some stages and types of diabetes commonly associated with syndrome X or hyper-insulinemia. There are few low carbohydrate substitutes available, however, for common bread and cereal grain product such as breads, pastas, crackers, tortillas, French fries, etc. which are all high in carbohydrate content and not very compatible with low carbohydrate diets. Grata Inc. has introduced a product line that includes bread, pizza shells, dinner rolls, hamburger rolls and hoagie rolls. It is our unique use of wheat fiber that not only allows for superior quality and taste in our low carbohydrate bread products but also provides high dietary fiber and protein. We will expand our wheat cereal product line by using our trade secret recipe to produce other products such as crackers, pastries, cookies, doughnuts, pastas and breakfast foods. We have exerted great effort in formulating a recipe that yields high quality, great tasting products. Grata Inc. is dedicated to helping individuals improve their health by making available high quality low carbohydrate food products necessary for a dietary lifestyle that will yield healthy returns. Currently, our bread contains approximately 7g carbohydrates, 4g dietary fiber, and 6g protein per slice. Three grams is the effective carb content. The slices are the same size as a regular slice of bread and the loaf is the same size as a regular loaf of bread. One slice per serving is 24g. There are 50 calories, 1.5g fat, 50mg sodium per serving. The ingredients are gluten flour, wheat fiber, malt, white flour, soy oil, yeast, salt, and possibly vinegar. These numbers are what we are working with right now, and may vary in the future.
