The “that pickle guy” portfolio consists of products that are handmade & hand packed fresh in our Chicago kitchen. Our products are made using nearly extinct “old world” small batch techniques that come from generations of family recipes. By using small batches we insure our consistent flavor in every jar we sell. Vegetable is selected based upon a careful “survival of the fittest” process. Once chosen, they are prepared separately in small batches to insure that each vegetable is never overcooked by never being overlooked!! These small batches are taste tested and if approved they are married with select choice ingredients. Harmonious flavor is concocted within each jar… my products proudly bear the names my grandparent’s family recipes. Each jar must be able to have met their strict approval or it wouldn’t be labeled that pickle guy! That pickle guy comes from a long line of family culinary artists, who developed traditional recipes that were indigenous to the cities (Chicago/new Orleans) they settled in. After carefully preparing their old world style recipes, i decided to share their creations with neighbors and friends, who immediately urged me to sell these products. After years of encouragement i decided to enter the local farmers markets where they quickly took hold and reminded people of their own family traditions.
